Give a Gift
Gifts of the Foundation help support patient care at Regional Health Services in many ways, including new construction and remodeling of the hospital, the purchase of new equipment, new health care programs, and provides expanded services to those in need. With continuous changes in rural health care reimbursement, it is necessary for hospitals to seek private funds to enhance these services.
Healthcare experiences new and exciting developments in technology and patient care every day. Improving and expanding the services that are offered at Regional Health Services of Howard County is ongoing to meet the needs of the patients we serve. In 2013, construction began on a $16 million building project with a capital campaign goal of $2.5 million. The project was completed in 2016. Donations from staff, board members, volunteers, and the community are helping to serve patients in private, modern rooms that are handicap-accessible. We have a new main entrance and lobby, private registration, same-day surgery suites, a new Rehabilitation Department and gym, expanded and updated laboratory, Cresco Family Pharmacy & Home Medical Equipment, renovated and expanded emergency area and operating room suites, and updated, state-of-the-art equipment that replaced heating and cooling mechanicals from the 1960s.
