Now Available: Medical Call Center

As an Avera Health affiliate, Regional Health Services of Howard can now offer patients the option of the Avera Medical Call Center. This call center connects patients with a free service that connects you with a registered nurse or other health professional. They will provide you with confidential answers to your health-related questions, and they are available 24 hours a day, year-round. Professionals won’t provide you a diagnosis over the phone, but they will get you accurate medical information. They also can help you decide if additional care at an emergency department or after-hours clinic is needed, or if necessary, they can connect you with an on-call provider.

If you think a situation is life threatening, call 911 or a local emergency service immediately. Avera Medical Call Center is not a resource for medical emergencies.
