On October 19, 2021 Regional Health Services of Howard County held a dedication ceremony for the former RHS South Campus. The campus was dedicated as the “George R. Willis Campus” in honor of current, 11-year Board Chair, George Willis.
A number of speakers presented words of thanks and praise to George for his volunteerism and leadership to RHSHC. George has been instrumental in many significant milestones and improvements at RHSHC including the remodel and construction of RHSHC’s Main Entrance, Medsurg floor, Rehab, OB, Lab, ER, and OR; the opening of Cresco Family Pharmacy and Cresco Family Pharmacy South; the addition of the Elma Medical Clinic; and more.
Close family and RHSHC colleagues attended the dedication, and a live stream was available on the RHSHC Facebook page for the public to view. The ceremony was completed with an unveiling of the updated sign and new addition of lettering on the building reading “George R. Willis Campus.”
