Since 1902, when the first hospital in Cresco was established, great strides have been made to promote, preserve, and protect the health of the residents of Howard County and its surrounding areas.

Regional Health Services of Howard County (RHSHC) offers acute and skilled medical/surgical care, obstetrical, rehabilitative, and diagnostic services in a 19-bed Critical Access hospital.  A full scope of health care services is offered by a dedicated health care professional staff that looks forward to taking care of patients and their families including Cresco, Elma, and Lime Springs Medical Clinics; Community Health Services; Cresco Family Pharmacies; and Howard County Community Hospice.  A variety of educational, wellness, and support group opportunities are also available at RHSHC.
