Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories-Protocol (RTM Protocol) can be life changing for anyone who suffers from post-traumatic stress or its symptoms, Veterans, accident victims, emergency response personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, abuse victims, or anyone suffering from emotional trauma of a life-altering experience.

RTM Protocol works to eradicate the “fight, flight, or freeze” response that becomes associated with a patient’s traumatic memory. This is done through a series of three to five 60-90 minute sessions. During RTM sessions, patients will learn safe and simple techniques to relocate the traumatic memory to a place in the brain where it is viewed as in the past without feeling the emotional and physical upset along with the memory.

Research of this new treatment at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland is showing a 90% rate of success, and is showing to be about 30% more effective than the currently most used treatment of PTSD, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). If the right fit for the patient, RTM is also favored for being less emotionally challenging on patients and can be completed in a shorter amount of time.
